    • Leith Fm

    For two years I produced and presented a radio show for community station, Leith Fm.

    I focused on arts, culture and community issues.  A weekly regular was the Bethany Group.  Every Monday at 2pm a group of eight homeless  and vulnerable adults were given half an hour to use the airwaves as they pleased.

    The group made the show, they made my whole experience.  Bethany wrote poems, fashion reports, art reviews, football debates.  They sang, rapped, voiced concerns and celebrated hopes.  After two years of training and a lot of fun I was able to pass my show over to Bethany who took over the weekly two hour slot.

    Other guests and highlights include:  Drumatik Drumming Group; Craigmillar Arts Space; Singapore based Social Creatives; the National Galleries of Scotland; Jewel and Esk Valley College; and a flurry of talented live and local bands including: Midas Fall; Steph Macloed; and the Wild Myrtles.
